Is the Drake Curse BACK? The Canadian rapper LOSES $400,000 after backing Jake Paul to take out Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia – only for the Brit to emerge victorious on points
Drake has lost another big bet – this time after betting $400,000 on Jake Paul to KO Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia.
The Canadian rapper would have pocketed a whopping $1.2million if Paul had made the deal in the ring but he lost to Fury on points.
Drake shared the details of his big money bet on social media earlier Sunday, with the fight just hours away.
Drake’s game picks were once something he was ridiculed for – picking so many losers that fans joked about the ‘Drake curse’.
Lately he appeared to have turned the corner after assisting Argentina to win the World Cup final against France – although his bet didn’t win as the game was won on penalties – and that the Kansas City Chiefs would lose the Super Bowl would win earlier in February.

But it was Fury who emerged victorious, beating Paul on points in Saudi Arabia

But now, after Paul’s defeat, many will wonder if the Drake curse has returned.
The 36-year-old won just one of his seven Super Bowl bets as the Kansas City Chiefs picked up their second Lombardi in four seasons and still turned a profit.
He wagered a total of $965,000 on the bets and won $1.477 million for a total profit of $512,000.
Last month, the ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ artist earned a $2 million payout by placing a $1 million winning bet on the Chiefs beating the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship. However, there were also great losses.
In December, Drake wagered $1 million on Argentina beating France in regulation in the World Cup final.
Unfortunately, Lionel Messi & Co defeated the French in a dramatic penalty shootout.
Additionally, in November, he threw down $2 million worth of Canadian dollars for Israel Adesanya to win UFC 281 against Alex Pereira, who won by KO in the fifth round.
Tyson Fury also placed a sizeable bet on his brother to run the deal against Paul instead.
“I’ve got 100 racks on a stop within distance, so if he loses I lose 100 sacks too. I have him at 3/1,” The Gypsy King told iFL TV.
