“After the first training session I realized that we are the same and that we will have fun. But at the beginning of the performance on stage, I had a panic attack. We’ve seen it a bit, there’s a note or two that wasn’t perfect. I had to calm down and regain control,” said the 15-year-old, who is from Terrebonne, in Lanaudière.

Her rendition of Heart’s song “Alone” was great, and Marc Dupré decided to keep her on his team to later save 29-year-old Catherine. “That gave me confidence. It showed me that I’m on this show for a reason and that even though I’m the youngest, I belong like everyone else.”

Also, being the youngest contestant of the season isn’t that important to her. “I don’t think it plays a part in my vocal ability. I’ve been singing like this since I was 8, it’s not that important.” She adds that her return to secondary school went very well.

“I was pleasantly surprised, everyone was happy for me. I’ve been asked a lot of questions behind the scenes about what the trainers are like in real life… I haven’t received any negative comments.
