Therefore, for the first time, it is a couple who hosts the show, which explores the torments of those in love in search of love. It’s also the first time a woman has helmed “Occupation Double.”

Producer Julie Snyder unveiled the news by calling Alicia Moffet a “creator who never ceases to impress me” and who “forms a complementary couple” with entrepreneur Frédérick Robichaud.

“First woman in animation, first OD couple, Occupation Double lives up to its name with this bold duo of animators,” said Productions President J.

“This significant change in the animation of ‘Occupation Double’ brings a new tone to the brand. Alicia Moffet and Frédérick Robichaud fully represent the show’s DNA. They are charming, authentic, complicit and have found each other a bit thanks to our iconic reality show,” adds Mélanie Bherer, General Manager, Variety, Lifestyle, Documentary and Digital at Bell Media.

Alicia Moffet was discovered by the general public in Quebec in 2015 with her participation in “La Voix”. For his part, Frédérick Robichaud won the title of “Public Favorite” at “Occupation Double dans l’Ouest” in 2021. He also co-founded a watch and jewelry company and is a regular in the media, including appearances on the talk show Bonsoir, Bonsoir! and on his podcast, Le RobiShow.

Remember that the final season of “Occupation Double” ended with the departure of Jay Du Temple after six seasons after the colorfully dressed comedian decided to pursue other projects.

Last season was marred by a massive bullying controversy that resulted in several major Occupation Double sponsors ending their partnerships.

“Occupation Double” will return to screens next fall. The team will soon be announcing the dates of the auditions that will take place in Quebec and New Brunswick.
