Actor Nelson Freitas has everything ready to debut in his new home after 19 years on TV Globo. He left Marinho’s channel two years ago and now directs Devaneios, a show that will air during the break in Jornal da Band from February 28 at 7:20 p.m. on BandNews. In addition to the station, the attraction that goes beyond the work in the interpreting area is new.

In the new attraction, Freitas reads classics from literature. Throughout his career, the artist was part of the cast of the Rio channel and collected several works in dramaturgy, mainly in comedy. After years of acting in the humorous Zorra, Nelson Freitas faced the soap opera character in Tempo de Amar (2017), a 6pm hit. His last appearance on TV Globo was at Super Dança dos Famosos in 2021.

The actor was fired from Globo after 19 years at home, at a time when the network had begun trimming its roster. Freitas soon after signed a contract with Band, where he has been part of the cast ever since. The announcement was even made by the artist himself on the band’s social media.

“We do the Devaneios Pillar every Tuesday and Thursday starting February 28th. We will present classic texts, poems, chronicles and much more from the spectrum of literature,” he said when inviting the public to watch. The new program consists of reading and dictating excerpts from classic and contemporary books.
