Lorraine Kelly hit back at an internet troll who took to social media to comment on her performance on Wednesday.
The 63-year-old TV presenter took the insult to the chin as she responded with a hilarious joke, and fans praised her as they pledged to “take no notice”.
The Twitter user wrote that she “needs a makeover,” and described the presenter’s hair as “horrible,” suggesting she cut it shorter.
But when Lorraine noticed the post and decided to respond, she clapped back that she didn’t want to change her look – and joked that she resembles Wilson The Volleyball from Castaway with a shorter do’.
“I really think Lorraine needs a hair makeover. I’m surprised no one mentioned Lorraine for a short haircut this time,” the user wrote.

The look she was referring to is that of an iconic ball with a red face-like shape imprinted on it from a 2000 American survival drama film – with an outline resembling a hair updo.
But since Lorraine was quick to laugh and crack a joke, many fans were unfazed by the nasty comment.
‘Wow. Bad person. You look great,” wrote one follower.
Another raged: “I don’t think you should bother replying to Lorraine. You look fabulous by the way, but I’m so sick of women being reduced to their looks rather than their skills and overall awesomeness.
But when a fan asked if it’s anyone’s business, the original user replied, “Well, actually, if she hosts a show, it’s everyone’s business. Our opinion counts’.
It comes as Lorraine took some time off from her daytime TV show last week while battling a “disgusting bug”.
Ranvir Singh filled in for Lorraine during her absence, telling viewers she is “still recovering” after suffering a “horrible bug”.

On Wednesday morning on TV, Kate Garraway updated viewers on the last-minute cast change and praised Ranvir for agreeing to step in and host the morning chat show.
Announcing the news, Kate explained: “We would normally chat with Lorraine at this point on the show, but I think for almost the first time in her 30+ year history she’s actually gone home, she’s not feeling well.
“She has a bug! We wish you all the best, Lorraine. Ranvir is to the rescue, she’s on her way here.’
Taking to Twitter, Lorraine revealed she had been sent home after being “suddenly attacked by a vile bug”.
She shared her disappointment when she admitted she had been looking forward to interviewing guest Adam Lambert, but couldn’t for fear of “infecting” him.
She wrote: “When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you were suddenly infested with a nasty bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert DAS! More than disappointed but imagine if I infected it !!!!!!’
