Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma Spring 2017 collection at Paris Fashion Week

Rihanna’s much-anticipated return to the Super Bowl stage proves that she still has the Midas touch when it comes to music, beauty and fashion. No wonder Puma want another slice of the pie by rekindling their partnership with the global superstar.
The sportswear brand revealed the news on Instagram on Wednesday with two simple words: “She’s back,” with the Fenty and Puma logos side by side.
Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the multi-hyphenated Barbadian first worked with the company in 2014 as creative director and global ambassador. The collaboration resulted in ready-to-wear and footwear collections, including a creeper version of Puma’s best-selling suede sneakers. The last Fenty x Puma release was a motocross-inspired collection for Spring 2018, and the duo also threw a Coachella pool party on the first weekend of the festival that year.
The singer debuted her lingerie and loungewear line, Savage X Fenty, in May 2018, which sold out within a month of launch. Since then, the company has opened brick-and-mortar boutiques in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia and other cities.
Rihanna then unveiled her luxury label Fenty with LVMH in May 2019, becoming the first woman and person of color to helm a brand for the group. (The brand closed in 2021.)
More details are yet to be announced (the caption of the Instagram post just says “coming soon”), and this year’s Coachella could be a prime time for Fenty x Puma to make their big re-debut. If RiRi’s past runway shows are any indication, expect the new launch to be holding nothing back (don’t be surprised if it’s Y2K-inspired or has a whole new aesthetic).
