Conflicting Reports About Vince McMahon And Booking Brock Lesnar vs. Omos At WrestleMania 39! – Info Battle – Info Battle

Meanwhile, there are conflicting reports about the WrestleMania 39 match between Brock Lesnar and Omos.

A new report from WrestleVotes reveals that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was the one who happened on Lesnar vs. Oma. The report included a GIF of McMahon, seen below, and said the match was “the brainchild of a certain, powerful person who pushed it through.”

However, a recent report by Fightful noted that word within WWE was that McMahon was not involved with Lesnar vs. Omos. This was said amid intense internal speculation that McMahon was back on the WWE creative team. While Fightful had sources speaking on both sides of the story, PWTorch’s Wade Keller said he was told “frankly” that McMahon didn’t come back into creation.

Lesnar’s WrestleMania 39 match was reportedly changed in recent weeks and the decision was made to choose Omos as his opponent. There were reports of Lesnar possibly challenging Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER at some point, but The Wrestling Observer recently reported that Lesnar vs. GUNTHER was not the previously mentioned Lesnar match that was recently changed. Another source would have said that WWE still wants to preserve Gunther and not burn him for Lesnar who is already very established.

Lesnar accepted Omos’ challenge for WrestleMania 39 at RAW this week as a guest in the VIP lounge with MVP. Omos was listed internally for the segment, but it hasn’t appeared, and there’s no word on why yet.

WWE stated in their official preview of Lesnar vs. Omos:

“After months of carnage at the hands of both Superstars, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar and ‘The Nigerian Giant’ Omos will finally square off on the biggest stage of them all at WrestleMania 39. Omos and his partner MVP recently challenged Lesnar on Monday Night Raw, challenging the former WWE Champion to a one-on-one match to prove who the real beast of WWE is. With MVP in his corner, Omos has consistently crushed almost every Superstar he’s encountered. Meanwhile, Lesnar overcomes one of the greatest challenges of his career in his feud with “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley.
