Rapper Lil Mosey, 21, is found NOT guilty of second-degree rape after a Washington state jury trial
Rapper Lil Mosey was found not guilty of second-degree rape after a Washington state trial.
The Krabby Step hitmaker, 21, was “acquitted of all charges by a jury” on Thursday, according to TMZ.
The musician – born Lathan Moses Stanley Echols – has pleaded not guilty to the charges – which date back to 2021 – and reportedly passed a lie detector test “with flying colors”.
The artist was initially charged with rape after a woman claimed she and her friend had been raped by him and another man after visiting them in a shack, but he had maintained his innocence.
Lil Mosey could face a possible life sentence if convicted of the crime.

The woman who accused the rapper told authorities at the time she agreed to have sex with Lil Mosey in a vehicle, but later, while sitting in a booth together, passed out after drinking White Claw and champagne had.
The woman claimed, according to TMZ, that she stopped by to find him on her and have sex with her.
She passed out a second time and awoke to find another man having sex with her.
The prosecution alleges that Echols had sexual intercourse with the woman when she was physically helpless or mentally handicapped.
In an affidavit seen by TMZ, the victim said she sustained injuries, including bruises on her arm, neck and inner knee.
Another woman who attended the party with the then 20-year-old accuser said she woke up partially clothed and was told she had had intercourse but had no memory of it, the affidavit said.
‘Mister. Echols did not commit this crime and we intend to work hard to clear his name,” his Seattle-based attorneys Amy Muth and Jennifer Atwood said in a statement at the time.
The Washington native rose to fame with his 2017 single Pull Up and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 with Blueberry Faygo in 2021.
