Murdaugh, who listened to his verdict with a devastated expression but not losing his composure, was also found guilty of two counts of possession of a firearm while committing a violent crime. Now it remains to be known how high the judge’s verdict is, who has announced that he has no time to lose either: his reading is scheduled for tomorrow. Prosecutors have asked for life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. The minimum sentence is 30 years, the death penalty is excluded.
After being convicted of the most serious crimes he has faced, Murdaugh’s court sentence is far from over.
