‘Victim number 3 is coming!’ Corrie viewers predict Stephen will KILL the possessed Elaine after accidentally OFFERING her a PROPOSAL while high on LSD amid a drug mix-up
Coronation Street viewers have predicted that serial killer Stephen Reid will kill Elaine Jones after accidentally proposing to her while high on LSD.
The insidious character, played by Todd Boyce, had previously planned to stun boss Carla Connor while continuing to plot to take over Underworld, but his plan went disastrously wrong when he accidentally drugged himself.
Later, when an infatuated Elaine tried to comfort him for believing he’d been having an anxiety attack, his confused words led her to believe Stephen had asked the question – and fans suspected they’d soon become ‘victim number 3’ would since he would kick her out for her money.
Earlier in the day, after Carla (Alison King) spat out her tea and complained about whole milk, Stephen was horrified to discover that either he or his niece, Sarah Platt, had been drinking the spiked drink – though things weren’t looking good since they were both a huge presentation had come up.
Later on on stage, it was soon revealed that Stephen had indeed accidentally drugged himself, leaving the villain with blurred vision and profusely sweating before running off – forcing Sarah (Tina O’Brien) to take over.

He then rushed back to his hotel room, where he was soon overcome by LSD hallucinations, with Stephen being haunted by the ghosts of his murder victims, Teddy and Leo.
Meanwhile, a concerned Elaine (Paula Wilcox), who was in the audience to support his pitch, walked into his room next to Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), and the couple got a maid, who let them into the room.
Elaine persuaded Debbie to let her go into the room alone, where she comforted Stephen and suggested that he retire and that they should spend their golden years together.
Still confused by the drugs, Stephen nodded in agreement and said they were “forever,” leading an ecstatic Elaine to take this as a suggestion, before hugging the confused killer and declaring her love.
Corrie fans watched the hilarious scenes and were quick to suggest on Twitter that Stephen is likely to murder Elaine and collect her life insurance money.
‘Hmm. Let’s see: Stephen and Elaine get married, get life insurance and then he dumps her. Victim number 3 is coming up,” said an observer.
While a second remarked: “Think Elaine will be next for the bin.”
A third tweeted: “Best #corrie episode ever, hilarious. Don’t think Elaine will make it to her country house.”

In the coming scenes, Carla berates Stephen for breaking off the presentation and lets Sarah continue, making it clear that he has nothing more to do with the American deal.
A seething Stephen goes to the precinct with the intention of buying more drugs.
However, when two lads pocket his money and laugh in his face, Stephen sees red.
