SUZHOU, China and SANTA CLARA, California, March 3, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — InnoLight Technology, the leading provider of data center optics, announced today that the company will hold a live demonstration of the 1.6T OSFP-XD DR8+ pluggable optical transceiver will be showcasing transceivers at OFC 2023 in San Diego, CA (booth #4115), setting a new industry benchmark for pluggable optical transceivers.
The OSFP-XDDR8+ module combines the latest 200G per lane optical technologies and the latest digital signal processing techniques. The module offers a transmission speed of up to 1.6 Tb/s over a distance of 2 km with a low power consumption of less than 23 W at a temperature between 0 and 70 °C.
InnoLight’s 1.6T OSFP-XD optical transceiver proves that pluggable optics continue to enforce Moore’s Law by doubling bandwidth capacity without changing existing data center infrastructure. Our 1.6T optical module enables 51.2T switching capacity in a 1U rack configuration. It leverages InnoLight’s proven 100G Serdes ecosystem and advanced 200G optical platform to provide a low-risk, easy-to-deploy and cost-effective solution to drive bandwidth expansion, said Osa Mok, Marketing Director of InnoLight.
In addition, InnoLight will introduce its second-generation 800G modules based on 5nmDSP technologies and advanced silicon photonics technologies to meet customers’ demand for 800G low-power optical transmission. At OFC 2023, InnoLight will present 800GOSFPDR8+ and 2xFR4 low-power optical transceivers with less than 14 W between 0 and 70 °C.
InnoLight also announced the general availability of its 400GZR and 400GZR+QSFP-DD coherent transceivers at OFC 2023. InnoLight’s 400GZR and ZR+ transceivers are fully compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA, CMIS and OIF OpenZR standards more and can support transmissions up to 500 km. The 400GZR(+)QSFP-DD Coherent Transceiver will also be on display at the OIF400ZR Interoperability Lab at OFC 2023.
