Tanya Charlie48, is in the final stages of her pregnancy and revealed how excited she is to meet the baby boy she is expecting with her husband Sebastián Jiménez.
On February 28, the Colombian journalist boasted on social networks about her “belly” at 39 weeks of pregnancy, comparing its size to a medium-sized watermelon.
“Hurry up baby Jiménez, we’re waiting for you … 39 weeks and 7 pounds … It’s the size of a medium sideburn (watermelon),” reads the caption of a photo in which she posed holding her stomach on the balcony of her residence in Los Angeles.
In the Instagram post, she added that she thought her husband could feel what it’s like to deal with the seven kilos he’s gained during pregnancy.
“I understand when a friend wrapped a patilla (watermelon) around her husband’s stomach so he would know how it felt. Could it be that I’m doing it to Sebastián Jimenez? #babyencamino,” he concluded.
Among the messages that can be read below the picture is that of Lili Estefan, her friend and partner from El Gordo y La Flaca. “We’re all waiting for you here,” wrote “La Flaca” next to three blue hearts.
Host Borja Voces and other Univision colleagues also wished him all the best for this new phase.
The process she went through to get pregnant
Tanya Charry shared the news of her pregnancy in September 2022. The presenter managed to conceive at the age of 47 after a year of marriage through in vitro fertilization treatment.
The Colombian revealed that she had her eggs frozen at the age of 33 and in March 2022 the process of conceiving began with Sebastián Jiménez, who was already the father of 11-year-old Zoe.
Speaking about her pregnancy in El Gordo y La Flaca, to which she belongs, she confessed that she suffered the loss of a baby more than 15 years ago.

In early November last year, Charry underwent a live ultrasound on one of the El Gordo y La Flaca broadcasts, where it was revealed that a child was on the way.
”It’s a boy’ Dr. Steve Rad broke the great news live today at El Gordo y La Flaca that we are about to have a boy. Sebastián, Zoe (and I) are happy, ”Tanya Charry commented on Instagram on this occasion, along with the video of the moment.
