Why did Cultural Santa Rosa have 3 stars on its jersey when it was never a national champion?

Cultural Santa Rosa, known as Sports Club Los Chankas CYC In mid-2021, it is a team that has represented Apurímac at a professional level in Peruvian football for seven years. Originally from the province of Andahuaylas and characterized by their cherry red colors and various shades of yellow and red, the team has just wrapped up its best season in League 2 since being invited to the category in 2016. One of the things that draws attention to the three stars that Cultural Santa Rosa’s last logo had is that other previous ones the club had didn’t have them. These badges first appeared in the 2017 season when the Convert brand dressed up the frame. These were retained until the name change to Los Chankas CYC, with a completely different shield honoring the Chanka warriors of Andahuaylas. With cherry as the main color, there is currently no trace of these symbols.

Why did Cultural Santa Rosa have 3 stars when it was never a champion?

In the absence of an official response from the group, it’s best to check the record of today’s Club Deportivo Los Chankas CYC. Although founded in 1989, the team’s prominence in Peruvian football began in 2010, when it returned to the regional stage of the Copa Peru for the first time in 23 years. He entered this instance as a departmental runner-up.

The squad were champions of the Apurímac departmental league in 2011 and 2013. Their best season before reaching the national stage in 2015 was winning Region IX in 1993, but they were eliminated by Deportivo Garcilaso before the final hexagon. The stars would point to these three titles as they are much more important than those in Andahuaylas Province and Talavera District.
