Have you read the novel and/or seen the film The Diver which has been out since last Friday? You probably know that author Stéphane Larue drew inspiration from his own experiences washing dishes in a real Montreal kitchen to craft his story, which also explores addiction, friendship and growing up. .

Well, do you know that if you’ve never been there, the La Trattoria restaurant, where the diver’s story takes place, actually existed. Taking to his social media on Wednesday, Bob le Chef praised the theatrical popularity of Le Plongeur – the feature film starring Henri Picard grossed $181,698 on its first theatrical weekend – by posting a special post on his website. See the end of the article for a preview.
