The mistake

Whether in Fermont, Quebec or on the family farm, Celine Trudeau never takes a break. The investigator, brought to life thanks to Isabel Richer, doesn’t have the slightest time to play the tourist. First she must solve a sordid crime while winter gives her no presents. Then she must deal with the death of a man cemented in her bath. Eventually, she resumes the investigation into her cousin’s murder. As if that wasn’t enough of an effort, her past mocks her as she tests her nerves.

It is often said that two are better. The series may bear his name, Detective John Cardinal (camped by Bill Campbell) certainly thinks so, although he would have preferred to do it alone at first. His imposed partner, Detective Lise Delorme (played by Karine Vanasse), quickly proves to be a formidable ally in his quest: to apprehend a serial killer rampant in Ontario. Who knows what would have happened without her… Bonus: The first and third season episodes bear Podz’s signature.

The Congolese jungle can be exotic, fascinating and adventurous. However, none of its attractions hold any charm when, like Georgia Wells, you are tasked with uncovering the truth about her husband’s simulated death. However, a hostile environment (Kate Beckinsale fainted on the hot set) and a conspiracy story won’t overcome the resilience of a lady who believed the man in her life was gone for good and who won’t shy away from her efforts.
