A video released this week showed the moment a man driving a stolen 2017 Hyundai Sonata drove inside at high speed to avoid police, collided with another vehicle at an intersection in Baltimore (USA) and stopped only after hitting a building.
The chase began after officers spotted the stolen vehicle in the East North Avenue area and attempted to check it, but the driver fled.
While attempting to flee, the driver collided with another car before crashing into the building, causing the building to partially collapse, now worn and uninhabited. A pedestrian, identified as 54yearold Alfred Fincher, was buried under rubble.. When the emergency services arrived, he was declared dead on site. Five other people in the two cars were injured.
The driver, 33yearold Shawn Lee Brunson, was arrested at the scene and later charged with theft. The incident happened on February 8, but pictures have only now clarified the case.
