The Finnish goalkeeper, who plays for Swedish top flight club Leksands IF, has been banned for five games for his gesture in the 3-2 defeat by HV 71.
After the final whistle, the former Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators hit a referee in the back of the head with his bottle some distance from the net.
Although the gesture poses no risk of injury, it should be reprimanded for its “deliberate and inappropriate” nature, according to the Swedish circle.
Leksands IF led the game 2-0 before conceding three goals in a row which could explain the masked man’s anger.
Kaskisuo is in his second season in Sweden after playing two minor games in the National Hockey League.
This season, he has a .879 save percentage and a 3-9-0 record in 14 games.
