Óscar Romero, chairman of the ADFP, pointed out that members of the assemblies of the Peruvian Football Federation can appoint one Government commission to solve the problem of Agustín Lozano and other leaders.
Last Thursday, March 3rd, the Public Prosecutor’s Office searched La Videna as part of the ongoing investigation Augustine Lozano and other directors of Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). The intervention was carried out following the FPF’s refusal to provide the documents requested by the public prosecutor in February. In this sense, the president of the professional football sport federation, Óscar Romero, pointed out this problem and assured that it is up to the FPF base assemblies to set up an interim commission to make things transparent.
“Today, more than ever, members of the FPF’s grassroots assemblies have the opportunity to request an extraordinary session to dismiss the President of the FPF and its Executive Board and appoint an interim government commission to resolve these issues,” he said in an interview Program “Negrini knows it” by Ovación.
Romero also specified that the public prosecutor’s office is not investigating the Peruvian Football Federation as such, but certain members. In addition, he reiterated that the base assembly can vacate the current board. “The FPF is not under investigation here, but the directors.
