The raspberry rally flavor of Girl Scout cookies has been largely sold out, resulting in a resale market where they boast some eye-watering prices.

As of Friday, scores of people were putting up crates of the recently released cookie on online marketplace eBay, with some sellers pricing a single Raspberry Rally crate in the $20 range. Other offers, meanwhile, aimed to command prices like $115 for five cases, $100 for two, or $72 for three.

NEW RASPBERRY RALLY GIRL SCOUT COOKIE JOINS NATIONAL LINEUP IN 2023

The Girl Scouts of the USA announced back in August that they would be adding the raspberry rally flavor to the organization’s 2023 cookie offering. The chocolate-covered, raspberry-flavored cookie, which will only be available online from February 27, is a “sister” to Thin Mints’ cookie, according to the organization.

Girl Scouts of the USA was “disappointed to see unauthorized resales of Girl Scout Cookies online through online auction sites or community listing sites,” a spokesperson for the organization told FOX Business when asked about the Raspberry Rally’s resales . The spokesman said the “only authorized outlets” for the organization’s cookie lineup are “in person or online” through a local force.

Girl Scout cookie pricing is set by each Girl Scout Council based on the needs and knowledge they have of the local market, FOX Business previously reported. A box of Girl Scout cookies can reportedly be priced anywhere from $4 to $7 nationally.

“When cookies are purchased through a third-party vendor, it deprives Boy Scout troops of revenue, which funds important programs throughout the year,” the Girl Scouts USA spokesman continued. “In addition, Girl Scouts of the USA, your local Girl Scout Council, and our licensed cookie makers cannot guarantee the freshness or integrity of cookies purchased through unauthorized websites. In many cases, these cookies have expired or the sellers are using Girl Scouts’ intellectual property without permission.”
