The sturdy winger has picked up a lower body injury and will be out indefinitely, head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Montrealer had his best season yet at the Bettman track. In just 56 games, he has already posted career highs in goals (16) and points (25) while posting an outstanding +15 differential.

A veteran of 336 regular season games and 56 playoff games with the Golden Knights, Carrier also leads his team this season with seven goals.

So, the acquisition of forwards Ivan Barbashev and Teddy Blueger makes sense for the Nevada formation.

The Golden Knights beat the Carolina Hurricanes and New Jersey Devils back-to-back during the week. They face a much less well-placed opponent on Sunday, the Montreal Canadiens.
