The Minister of Women, Susanne Raab, travels to New York to participate in the UN Commission on Women’s Rights.
AUSTRIA. Minister for Women Susanne Raab (ÖVP) will travel to the United States next week to attend the World Women’s Conference. It is the 67th session of the UN Commission on Women’s Rights in New York. Raab will be there on Monday, March 6th and Tuesday, March 7th. The theme of the conference is “Innovation and Technological Change and Education in the Digital Age for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of All Women and Girls”.

Raab will deliver a speech as part of a general debate. Among others, Raab will also meet Icelandic Prime Minister Katrin Jakobsdottir, Singapore Family Minister Sun Xueling and representatives of UN organizations. The conference lasts until March 17.
Raab will not only be present at the conference, he will grant Austrian citizenship to about ten people and open an exhibition on the Viennese Hedy Lamarr.
