Lana Del Rey has hinted that she may be stepping down from Glastonbury following the festival’s line-up announcement.
The singer, 37, is one of the acts announced as part of the line-up on Friday but was unhappy with her announcement.
Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses were announced as the final two headliners, joining Sir Elton John at the head of the bill.
But Lana pointed out that she would be starring on the Other Stage, something Glastonbury didn’t mention.
She also appeared at the bottom of the poster with more than 20 names of other acts listed before her.

Lana showed her anger by commenting on the official Glastonbury post on Instagram, writing: “Thanks for announcing that I will be officiating the other stage. Thumbs up.’
She also reportedly took to her own private Instagram to share the poster, adding, “Well I’m actually headlining Stage 2.”
She then hinted that she might be retiring, saying, “But since there was no consideration to announce that, we’ll see.”
Her fans took her side and commented on Glastonbury’s post, asking why Lana wasn’t listed higher.
One said: “Why isn’t Lana in the top row? Wtf’.
While another reiterated, “Why isn’t Lana headlining the main stage?”
And a third agreed, writing: “Imagine not mentioning Lana in the caption, she’s the greatest of all the headliners.”

It comes after Glastonbury Festival organizer Emily Eavis spoke out in defense of the “boring” cast of all male acts.
The lineup includes Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, The War On Drugs, Christine And The Queens, Thundercat, Lil Nas X, Carly Rae Jepsen and Manic Street Preachers.
But fans quickly noticed the lack of booked female talent.
Of the 30 headlining acts announced since 2010, only four have been women – Beyonce, Adele, Billie Eilish, Florence and the Machine – with Emily claiming this was due to a “problem in the pipeline.”
She told The Guardian: “We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed. It starts a long time ago with the record companies, the radio. I can scream as loud as I want, but we need to get everyone on board.”
She added that they remain “completely focused on breaking even our score. It’s not just about gender, it’s about every aspect of diversity.”
Emily further pledged to have two female headliners next year and said Lizzo – who will be appearing shortly before Guns N’ Roses – would have been booked to headline this year but the positions had already been filled by the male acts.
But fans were unimpressed, tweeting: “@glastonbury does better!!! All male headliners? You can’t even blame a lack of talent, there is an overwhelming wealth of amazing women to choose from’;
“Always brilliant, but it’s not the best cast. Elton was supposed to be Saturday night. It would be great to see ACDC headline news a year from now. Eminem. Madonna. Phil Collins for Legends Square.’; “Absolutely shocking compared to other years”;

‘@glastonbury @ArcticMonkeys and @gunsnroses worst Glastonbury lineup in years, if any’; “Situations like this year’s Glastonbury lineup are a direct symptom of the industry’s failure to fundamentally support women artists. Take them to the smaller stages, to radio, to live venues.’
“No folks, you don’t get it, Glastonbury HAD TO book Guns N Roses to headline a festival in 2023 because there are just no women in music at all”; “During Women’s History Month, the Glastonbury Festival announced an all-male headline. 2023. Tell me why we don’t need this month again.’;
“Stormzy didn’t have major festival headlining status when he performed at Glastonbury and look at what he’s done with the platform. Seems unusually backward to give literally no woman the same opportunity.’; “Just a little boring”;
