Apple will launch an iMac with its new brand new M3 processor at the end of the year

After recent updates to their laptops and Mac Mini, it is not difficult to surmise where Apple’s next focus will lie. A clue: it begins with the letter “i” and ends with “Mac”. According to esteemed Bloomberg journalist Marc Gurman, Cupertino has developed two new models of the iMac that are currently in their “final stages of development.” These iMacs are sure to generate buzz in the tech world.

The distinguished journalist divulged in his newsletter that Apple’s upcoming all-in-one computers will showcase a novel and original processor. Although we must wait to see them in action, the new M3 processors, with their 3nm manufacturing process, boast considerable power. Gurman also asserted that some of the iMac’s internal components could be “reconfigured and relocated.” Additionally, the production process of iMac support mounting on its screen will be “distinct” from the current process.

Despite these improvements, we will still encounter similarities with previous generations. Apple’s impressive all-in-ones will retain a 24-inch screen and the same color gamut as their 2021 predecessors.

The new iMacs have made significant progress, but they still require a final push. Gurman reports that mass production of these models will not begin until (at least) three months from now, and therefore, they will not start shipping until the end of the year.

In addition to the new iMac, Gurman revealed that Apple has plans to release a new 15-inch MacBook Air, another 13-inch, and a Mac Pro equipped with the M2 Ultra processor. It would not be implausible for Apple to incorporate its new M3 processor in the MacBook Air, given that they updated these laptops with the M2 chip last year. Nonetheless, we must wait a few months to confirm this.
