The character Panthro was introduced in “Thundercats” as Thundera’s general. The animated series was released in 1985 and was developed by RankinBass Productions and Lorimar Telepictures.

Tobin “Ted” Wolf and Leonard Starr were responsible for creating the characters. From 1989 Warner Bros. took over distribution. after the company’s purchase of Lorimar.

The plot follows the story of feline survivors from the planet Thundera. After the destruction of their homeland, they are forced to leave the place.

Possessing the Sword of Thundera, an item possessing the power of all Thundercats, they embark on a new journey to battle the forces of the terrible MummRa.

He is described as a powerful foe, possessor of the “source of all evil”. In addition to immortality, the sorcerer can transform into a more powerful and muscular form. This complicates the mission of the humanoids even more.

Illustrator Bruno Moura has worked on several projects related to comics, television and cinema. He used his editing skills to give Panthro a more realistic look and show what he would look like if he were in a live action movie or something.

The artist managed to keep his main physical features, resulting in a pretty cool image.
