(CNN) Months after Jeremy Renner was involved in a devastating snowplow accident, Disney+ has unveiled the trailer for a new docuseries that sees the actor behind the wheel of large vehicles to do good.
The trailer for his feel-good project, Rennervations, was released on Tuesday and sees Renner and a team of expert builders traveling the world in search of decommissioned vehicles they can rebuild to serve a new purpose for communities in need .
The four-part Disney+ series comes as Renner continues to heal from injuries sustained in an accident near his home in Nevada on New Year’s Day. Renner suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” after being run over by a snowplow while helping a family member clear snow off a private driveway, a Renner representative told CNN at the time.
In the weeks that followed, he shared an update on his Instagram, revealing that he had fractured over 30 bones in the accident.
The Hawkeye star said in a press release for Rennervations that the show, which appears to have been filmed before Renner’s accident, has become one of his greatest passions.
“I have been on this journey for many years and started building vehicles for people in need in my community. But a few years ago I was like, how can I take that even further and have a bigger impact on an entire community — and that’s what this show does,” Renner said. “It’s one of my biggest passions and a driving force at my recovery and I can’t wait for the world to see.”
The actor’s “Avengers” co-stars Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Hudgens, Anil Kapoor and Sebastián Yatra will all appear in the series.
In the trailer, Mackie and Renner are seen sitting around a table together when Renner jokes that “there’s a lot of concern in the Avengers family chat, like, what’s Renner doing?”
“I hope this shows how easy it is to make a big difference in other people’s lives,” says Renner.
Rennervations is available to stream on Disney+ on April 12th.
