Woman attacked by dog after being irritated by plaque light

A 30yearold Connecticut plastic artist was brutally attacked by her boyfriend’s dog after the animal was disturbed by the ultraviolet light from her teeth whitening tray. The attack took place on February 3 and became public this week.

According to local press, the victim, identified as Olivia Quest, suffered deep injuries and eventually lost her nose. He also underwent surgery on his left arm and now has two plates, eight screws and two pins in his left arm.

“We didn’t have a bad relationship. The night before he snuggled into my bed and I stuffed him into my blankets. The only thing that made sense was that UV light triggered something in his brain. He threw himself forward and hit my nose first, I was shocked and incredulous,” said the American.

Olivia said the dog, who was abused as a puppy, attacked her again, leaving her left arm “mutilated”.

“I just looked at him. It never occurred to me that he would keep attacking me because why would he do that? I put my hand to my nose and he punched my arm twice. I was like, ‘ “I’m not going to play tugofwar with a creature whose favorite game is tugofwar with my arm. So I just let it bite me. I went into shock,” the artist added.

After the attack, Olivia reports that she used a moment of calm from the dog’s anger to hide in the bathroom and called the family for help.

The dog was euthanized.
