The RCMP wants to celebrate its own 150th anniversary and the coronation of the British sovereign.

It is a horse named Noble that is being offered to the new king. The animal is part of the RCMP Musical Ride which Charles attended with his wife in May 2022 as part of his mother Elizabeth II’s platinum anniversary celebrations.

Noble becomes Charles III’s troop horse when his current mount, George, is retired. The King will then ride the horse donated by the RCMP as he takes part in the Parade of Colors.

“On behalf of Carrousel, I can say that it is a great honor that His Majesty King Charles III has asked to be given a horse by Carrousel. The RCMP and the Musical Ride shared many special moments with Queen Elizabeth II during her reign, swapping horses with her; It is therefore a very great honor to be able to continue this tradition with our new monarch from the first year of his reign,” said RCMP Superintendent Kevin Fahey in a press release.
