Celebrity Fashion: The Looks You Shouldn’t Miss! – Journal

It’s been a big week in California with just a few days leading up to the Oscars there were many awards ceremonies for cinema including the Film Independent Spirit Awards (FISA), African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), Costume Designers Guild Awards (CDGA) and the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAGA) and the Billboard Women in Music Awards.

While a certain classicism usually characterizes the silhouettes of the big cinema crowds, the stars continued to have fun drawing original pieces from the collections.

Therefore, with the theatrical stream in the air, the codes overhaul and the desire to stand out, it will be very interesting to see what they opt for tomorrow night for the ultimate movie night.

Until then, here is an overview of my favorite looks of the last few days.

Dove Cameron

Designer Jacquemus offers minimalist creations where color plays a prominent role, which are very popular with the younger generation. Dove Cameron fell in love with this khaki bustier dress, whose asymmetries give the freshness the brand is known for.

Jodie Turner Smith

Jodie Turner-Smith adds another matching feather and sequin creation to her list. This time she opted for a peach gray mini dress by Elie Saab.

Viola Davis

Slipped into this lemon yellow Valentino dress with an unusual neckline, Viola Davis is gorgeous.

Taylor Paig

The only detail that bothers me about this silhouette is the visible panty at the waist, a high waisted version would have been more dressy. Otherwise, I love Acne Studio’s deconstructed creation worn casually by Taylour Paige.

zendaya

Slipped into a Valentino dress adorned with pink flowers and adorned with Bulgari jewelry, Zendaya poses in a naïve and flirtatious manner.

Cate Blanchett

While a black blouse would have been an obvious choice, Cate Blanchett adds even more panache to her signature Balmain look by opting for an ivory triangle patterned shawl blouse.

Paul Dano

I have to say it again, men are rethinking the red carpet dress code. Paul Dano opted for a Dior tuxedo paired with a fine wool turtleneck sweater, making sure to pin a brooch to the lapel of his jacket.

Taylor Russell

Actress Taylor Russell literally appears draped in ribbons in this architectural Loewe creation, whose strategically placed satin ribbons create a bow effect.

Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh knew how to choose well from the extravagant proposals of the House of Schiaparelli, because some creations don’t translate well on the red carpet. The “straw of sequins” ribbon enhances this black strapless dress without being cartoonish.

Angela Bassett

The white feather stole was the perfect complement to rock this minimalist Styland suit into a gala evening outfit. Angela Bassett often plays the glamor card brilliantly!

Sheila Atim

This creation by Christopher John Rogers is perfectly contemporary: the lingerie touch, the proportions, the maxi volumes, the style, everything is there. Congratulations, Sheila Atim!
