Brook Lopez and Trey Lyles eliminated after a fight in the dying seconds of Bucks win over Kings – Yahoo Sports

Brook Lopez and Trey Lyles sparked a furious altercation in the final seconds of the Milwaukee Bucks’ 133-124 win over the Sacramento Kings Monday night.

With about 15 seconds remaining, Giannis Antetokounmpo began slowly dribbling the ball to tick off the clock. Lyles, just as Antetokounmpo passed him, reached in and fouled Antetokounmpo hard before giving him a shove. With the game essentially over, Lopez didn’t appreciate the foul and jumped in immediately.

Lopez got right in Lyles’ face and things escalated very quickly. The two began shoving each other as both teams charged into a huge scrum that fell on the points table at Golden 1 Center.

It took a lot of people to finally get Lopez to let go of Lyles as well.

The officers eventually separated the group. Both Lopez and Lyles were hit with technical fouls and ejected.

The Bucks then ran out the clock and claimed the nine-point win.

“I don’t know what happened, but we don’t take anything from anyone. Trust me,” said Kings coach Mike Brown. via Jason Anderson of Sacramento Bee. “And they will all have each other’s backs.”

Lopez finished the night with 23 points and eight rebounds. Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 46 points and 12 rebounds. He shot 19 of 28 from the field. Milwaukee has now won four of their last five.

De’Aaron Fox led the Kings with 35 points and eight rebounds, and Domantas Sabonis had a triple-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 15 assists. Lyles finished the game with six points and seven rebounds off the bench. The loss set Sacramento on a three-game winning streak.

“It’s unfortunate. I think it was a great game,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said of the fight. via Cameron Salerno from 247. “I was so impressed with Sacramento and the way they play. I won’t say anything about what happened or what didn’t happen.”
