On Tuesday, the center of the city of Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine, was heavily bombed by Russia. A nine-story apartment building and a kindergarten were hit. At least one person died and several others were injured, according to authorities in the industrial city.
As of 2014, Kramatorsk was still a Ukrainian-controlled city in the partially Russian-occupied Donetsk region.
Even a few weeks after Russian troops marched into Ukraine, the city was bombed. In April 2022, over 50 people were killed when the Kramatorsk train station was bombed.
