Notre Dame de Paris: The show celebrates its 25th anniversary in New York and Montreal

Notre Dame de Paris will return to New York and Montreal this summer for its 25th birthdaye birthday, learned The newspaper.

From August 2nd, Montreal audiences will be able to find Quasimodo, Gringoire, Esmeralda and the rest of the gang on the Place des Arts stage. The cast – to be announced shortly – are expected there for five days for a new series of performances of the musical show.

During his last visit to Quebec in the summer of 2022, the work of Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante was acclaimed by a total of 100,000 viewers across the province.

Shortly before moving to Montreal’s Place des Arts, Notre Dame de Paris will be shown at Lincoln Center in New York, where it triumphed last summer. The rock opera will be performed there in the original version in French with English surtitles for “several weeks” from the end of June.

Until then, the show is also expected in Turkey from May 5th. A total of about ten performances are planned at the Turkcell Stage in Istanbul, a space that can accommodate more than 2,000 people.

Since its inception at the Palais des Congrès in Paris in September 1998, Notre Dame de Paris has been performed in 20 countries and translated into nine languages. The show was watched by around 11 million people around the world.

Tickets for the Montreal performances go on sale tomorrow and will be available to the general public from Friday.
