More than a month after the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S23, the manufacturer returns to the market, but this time it attacks the entry-level range with the Galaxy A14 4G and Galaxy A14 5G. Two smartphones that share most of the elements of their technical sheet, although there are some differences. Two models very attractive thanks to their design similar to that of the Galaxy S23.

Samsung today announced the release of the Galaxy A14 4G, Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54. A lot of new smartphones covering all prices from 200 to 550 euros. Among them the Galaxy A14 5G: An entry-level smartphone for under 300 euros that offers 5G, but not only.
A back to Galaxy S23 tunes
The design of the Galaxy A14 5G is almost identical to its 4G version. There’s a back that’s decidedly similar to the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, with separate photo sensors rather than combined in one block. Below in the middle we find the inscription of the brand. If on the back we find grooves as in the 4G version, here they cover the back of the phone with a speckled pattern rather than simple vertical lines.

However, it’s not the same story on the reverse. The borders are present, also at the level of the chin. At less than 300 euros, there is no talk of a punch selfie sensor at Samsung: we end up with the so-called “Infinity V” notch. The Galaxy A34s are entitled to a slightly different notch called “Infinity U”.

As with its 4G version, the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G benefits from two years of major Android updates as well as four years of security patches, which is the standard in the market. Samsung also announces a repairability index of 8.8, one of the best scores ever given by the manufacturer.

Among the notable differences between the 4G and 5G versions, this 5G smartphone claims 90Hz, a different chip and a configuration with more memory.

Samsung Galaxy A14 5G price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is available today in two configurations:
- 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage for 249 euros;
- 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for 299 euros.
A smartphone that comes in three different colors: black, green and silver. What we can see is that the price has not increased compared to last year.
