Keira Knightley rocks polar opposite looks while promoting Boston Strangler in New York

Keira Knightley rocked three diametrically opposed looks while promoting her new movie Boston Strangler in New York on Wednesday.

The Pride and Prejudice actress, 37, was the picture of elegance as she stepped onto the city’s Upper West Side.

Keira plays real-life reporter Loretta McLaughlin, who has uncovered the story of the infamous 1960s serial killer, in the upcoming biographical drama.

For her first press day stop, she donned a cream two-piece suit with black accents on her belt and leather-trimmed heels.

For her second appearance, she completely flipped the look in a stylish raven suit with a white shirt tied in a chic bow around her neck.

For both looks, the actress kept her makeup simple, accentuating her high cheekbones and sharp jawline, while keeping her brunette tresses loose and straight, save for a slight wave near the ends.

For the third look, she slipped into a gray knit sweater paired with a matching fur maxi skirt.

She upped her height in a pair of black pointed toe heels with a silver bow to match her necklace.

Keira and her co-star Carrie Coon looked extravagantly dressed for a screening of their film, The Boston Strangler, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on Tuesday.

The Pirates of the Caribbean graduate delivered goth glam as she posed for photographers, while the 42-year-old The Gilded Age actress exuded head-to-toe elegance in beige.

Knightley stunned photographers when she arrived in a black corset dress with puff sleeves that accentuated her famously slim figure.

The new release is written and directed by Matt Ruskin, while also starring David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad, Dune), Chris Cooper and Alessandro Nivola.

In real life, reporter Loretta died in 2018 at the age of 90. After exposing the scandal, she became an award-winning medical reporter and the second woman to serve as editor of the Globe’s editorial pages.

“This is a terrifying tale of the brutality of the male psyche and how disturbed and horrifying it can be, told through the eyes of two women,” Knightley said recently of the film.

“It’s a difficult story to tell because there are many different twists and turns.”

It comes after the actress said she “put too much pressure on herself” and felt “locked in” after filming Pirates of the Caribbean in the early years of her career.

Keira has opened up about navigating fame in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, and she’ll also be starring on the cover of the April issue.

Realizing the pressure she put on herself in the early years of her career, Keira said, “I was incredibly hard on myself. I was never good enough. I was absolutely determined. I was so ambitious. I was so driven. I’ve always tried to keep getting better and better, which is a tiring way to live your life.

“I’m in awe of my 22-year-old self because I’d like to have a little bit more of her back. And it’s only by not being like that anymore that I realize how extraordinary it was. There was never an ounce of me that wouldn’t find a way through.’

The London native rose to fame playing a tomboy footballer in the 2002 film Bend It Like Beckham.

Boston Strangler is scheduled for release on Hulu on Friday, March 17th.
