Microsoft Multiplies Partnerships To Secure Acquisition Of Activision Blizzard – JudgeHype

Microsoft multiplies the announcements of partnerships at the cloud gaming level. Just this week, the company confirmed it had signed a 10-year deal with services Boosteroid (Ukraine) and Ubitus (Japan) to increase the number of players who can access Xbox PC titles. These partnerships are also intended to serve as a technique of seduction towards the competition authorities. In fact, at the end of the Activision Blizzard acquisition, Microsoft says titles like Call of Duty will be accessible through cloud gaming services.

Earlier this week Microsoft and Boosteroid announced that they will go hand in hand for the coming decade. Based in Kiev, Ukraine, the company recently surpassed 4 million users, making it a particularly notable independent player in the cloud gaming space.

“We believe in the power of games to bring people together. That’s why Xbox is committed to giving everyone more ways to play their favorite games, regardless of device. Bringing Xbox PC games to Boosteroid members, including Activision Blizzard titles like ‘Call of Duty’ once the deal closes, is another step towards realizing that vision.”

Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming.

As per the statement, Boosteroid has been operating from multiple locations in Ukraine since 2017, mainly in Kyiv and Kharkiv. Although two offices in Kharkiv were damaged by Russian missile attacks, the company kept working, expanding its services to Macs and Chromebooks, among others.

This Wednesday, it’s Ubitus’ turn to announce a ten-year deal with the Redmond-based giant. The Japan-based company also offers a cloud gaming service. Founded 10 years ago, Ubitus already works with companies like Samsung, Square Enix and Tencent.

We’re honored to form a 10-year partnership with Microsoft to enable gamers to stream acquisition-pending Xbox PC games and Activision Blizzard titles. This collaboration enriches our library with top IP games and expands our library to over 1,000 titles.
