may god help us 8 it will happen. L’eighth season the fiction with Francesca Chillemi in the role of Sister Blue, will be broadcast in 2025 and consists of ten and twenty episodes as usual. While the anticipation for the end of Che Dio ci Ai 7 is high, screenwriter Umberto Gnoli and screenwriter Elena Bucaccio revealed a few things in an interview with Fanpage.it progress on the plot It runs pour the eighth season: from Francesca Chillemi in the role of an over-the-top nun but always willing to help others, to the prospect of new great projects for Pierpaolo Spollon. But let’s go in order which nun will azzurra be in season eight? Screenwriter Elena Bucaccio replies:

Azzurra will be a different nun from Sister Angela. Although they both think outside the box, they have different approaches to faith and humanity. Azzurra is a messy nun, wholehearted and untrained, but ready to welcome the other in a total way. For us it was a gamble. I remember when Francesca Chillemi had her first audition for Azzurra Leonardi, she wasn’t the right one for me because she was too beautiful and nice. And instead we made her a believable nun you love.

May God help us 8, Season 8 preview starring Francesca Chillemi

In the final episode of Che Dio help us 7, Azzurra becomes a nun. A truly unmissable season finale promises to be.

Umberto Gnoli: What greater love can one have for Azzurra after Guido, played by Lino Guanciale? Only Jesus (laughs, ed.). Tonight Azzurra’s growth path will be completed. She is no longer just a student, but becomes a nun in all matters. Sister Angela has been his crutch for a long time, but this year Azzurra went alone. There will also be a turning point for Sister Teresa, who we disliked at first but then won over even the most skeptical.

May God help us 7, preview of the eighth episode from March 2nd: Emiliano turns the pages with Corinna

Elena Bucaccio: Have your tissues ready because it’s an ending that makes you cry a lot. He also tells from a human point of view the experience that Che Dio has helped us in recent years, with a very warm handover of the baton and a deep awareness of Azzurra.

Elena Sofia Ricci said goodbye to sister Angela. I guess it wasn’t easy for you to give her up.

EB: I won’t hide from you that we pissed ourselves off (laughs, editor’s note). Elena Sofia, when she first came to talk about Che Dio ai noi eleven years ago, said she would only do one season. Then, with great joy and love, she went to the sixth grade. On the other hand, it is also right to change, to leave room.

UG: The fact that Elena Sofia Ricci made herself available for this handover was fundamental, both for us and for the Azzurra story. At the beginning there was great uncertainty about how to proceed. Azzurra remains a nun sui generis, but St. Catherine of Siena was also, after all, a Doctor of the Church, although she was a peasant woman. You need what you have inside and Francesca Chillemi has had an exceptional season.

Guest Star Elena Sofia Ricci Could Return to Play Sister Angela

How concrete is the possibility of Elena Sofia Ricci returning for even one episode in Season 8?

EB: We’re not ruling it out. There is the concreteness of desire. Elena Sofia is very generous, she puts herself at the service of the series. Also, he has a very strong bond with Francesca Chillemi, he was her older sister, he raised her. There is also a great collaboration between her and Francesco Vicario, the director of the series. Surely she would come when asked for help or joyful participation.

Speaking of God help us 8, season 8 is slated to air on Rai1 in 2025. Has the writing phase already started?

UG: No, not yet, we’re petting it, the ten episodes of the new season are in the pipeline.

EB: The renewal of Che Dio helps us, with the growth of the character of Azzurra becoming a nun, also a way for us to have new stories, new lifeblood. Changing the protagonist opens up other avenues for you.

Francesca Chillemi expected Azzurra to choose her nun name next season. What other previews can you give me?

UG: Assuming we’re a little far from thinking of anything concrete, I think it’ll be fun to see Azzurra in the role of a nun. Change brings crises, but also opportunities. He has to adapt to this new life and figure out how to behave. Among other things, he finds the veil very uncomfortable and will probably not wear it for the time being. Then, together with Fiorenza Pieri in the role of Sister Teresa, they are a couple that works really well.

May God help us 8, Emiliano in doubt: “Big plans for Pierpaolo Spollon”

Azzurra and Emiliano are also very entertaining. Will we see the character played by Pierpaolo Spollon again?

EB: We can’t tell you that because it also depends on the actor. I think characters have a time and an arc and a definition. Then there’s a moment when you have to find new stories, new perspectives and new feelings. This year Emiliano has embarked on a path of fatherhood and maturity that has made him a solid person. So I always think we need to innovate. But I won’t kill him, I promise, he won’t die like we did with Guido (laughs, editor’s note). We have big plans for Pierpaolo Spollon, he is an extraordinary actor.

So if viewers don’t see him again in May God Help 8, they will surely see him somewhere else.

EB: That’s right, rest assured he always stays in the house.

UG: He has an enormous talent for comedy.

God help us 7, the finale of a successful season

Back to God help us 7, Orietta Berti participated as a guest star. How did you choose them?

UG: I hammered Luca Bernabei for having it (laughs, ed.). I had seen a photo of Orietta Berti with Pierpaolo Spollon and they were so cute together that I came up with a perfect storyline. I really wanted her.

And what about Elena D’Amario?

UG: You were chosen after the casting. I was skeptical at first, but it was very good. We didn’t take it because it was already known, but because it convinced us.

EB: Elena D’Amario has a stage presence and an in touch with her feelings that make her special.

How do you deal with references to the Christian religion instead? As you write, do you try to make them accessible to viewers who profess a different religion or are atheists?

EB: I’m not a practitioner, but I’ve always thought that Christianity is a universal message of faith and hope. Whether you are a believer or not, what Christianity says soothes the wounds of the soul, even of those who have not met the faith. Though spoken by a nun, Sister Angela’s prayers speak to all. When he says, “Trust in your neighbor, believe in the hand that is stretched out, and stretch out yours,” so does the unbeliever. All prayers are caresses.

Sister Benedetta, a real nun, advises you on the creation of the series. What role does he play for you authors?

UG: For example, when we write prayers, we read them to him. Sister Benedetta tells us if what we have written makes sense and then helps us find deeper words.

EB: It brings into focus the Christian viewpoint on a particular issue. The light of forgiveness is always amazing. What makes this series so popular is that it’s non-judgmental if you’ve been wrong so far, but stop tomorrow morning, you’ll be loved as someone who’s never been wrong. No matter what pain you carry, tomorrow is a new day.
