A week after the killings at a Jehovah’s Witnesses church in Hamburg, all eight seriously injured people are out of danger, according to the community. “This is the most beautiful news of this day, in fact, which also puts a smile on our faces,” said Michael Tsifidaris, spokesman for the Jehovah’s Witnesses for the northern region of Germany, today at the North German Broadcasting Corporation (NDR ).

In the attack on Thursday last week, a 35-year-old former parishioner shot and killed seven people and himself, and wounded nine others.
According to the report, Jehovah’s Witnesses have been invited to an ecumenical memorial service planned for Sunday by the Protestant and Catholic Churches and the Christian Churches Working Group, but will likely not be there officially.
Jehovah’s Witnesses Plan Funeral
Tsifidaris said in the NDR that his community appreciates “when churches or other institutions in our country show a sign of solidarity and sympathy”. Jehovah’s Witnesses wanted to hold their own funeral the following weekend, he announced. “And we’ll also find ways for the general public to participate in that way.”
