Almost twentytwo years have passed since the tragic events of the hijacking of four planes by terrorists, which culminated in the attack on the Twin Towers in New York, the destruction of part of the Pentagon building and the deaths of passengers and crew that hampered the plans of the Criminals working to crash a fourth plane, with the plane crashing in an open field in Pennsylvania. And even so long afterward, a documentary brings new and shocking facts about the fateful day, suggesting that the tragedy that claimed a total of 2,996 lives could have been worse.

The TMZ website team conducted an investigation that lasted six months and led to the information that a fifth plane was said to have been in the hands of the terrorists. The theory is supported by testimonies from flight attendants and the pilot of United Airlines Flight 23 who say they believe they were attacked by terrorists.

The shocking new information is featured in the documentary TMZ Investigates 9/11: The Fifth Plane, which airs today on American television. “United 23, a 767 aircraft, was scheduled to depart JFK at 9 a.m. bound for Los Angeles. Six passengers aroused the suspicions of the flight attendants for various reasons. Among them…they were convinced that one of the passengers was a man disguised as a woman,” reveals one of the production sources.

The plane was near the runway and ready for takeoff when JFK Airport abruptly closed after impacting the World Trade Center. He taxied back to the gate and the plane was fully evacuated and sealed. Twenty minutes later, people on the ground saw two uniformed men running into the passenger cabin. Authorities arrived, unlocked the door and found that the hatch leading from the plane’s belly to the cabin was open, a clue that put the FBI on high alert.

Flight attendants were questioned by federal agents and even taken to a line to see if they could identify the four suspects. Blades were found in the pockets of first class seats on a 767 parked next to United 23, but that plane was not scheduled to take off at the time. The pilot has been informed and believes the stilettos were for his plane and someone on the ground confused the plane.
