The alleged crimes occurred on the night of Friday March 10 to Saturday March 11 in the Saint-David sector in Lévis.
The three young suspects, aged between 16 and 17, were arrested according to information from the public and victims of misconduct that took place on the same dates mentioned above.
Following their arrest, the suspects were released on multiple terms and will face trial in a juvenile court in the coming months on multiple counts of mischief under $5,000.
The investigation is ongoing and more victims could be added to the long list, says Véronique Blouin, spokeswoman for the SPVL.
“There were so many vehicles affected in this story that maybe there are still people who could call us [pour nous signaler un méfait]’ says the spokesman.
In addition, the SPVL is seeking the cooperation of the population to collect evidence or information on this case.
“Given the extent of the damage, if people can give us video images or information, we would like to collect as much information as possible, regardless of whether they were victims of the damage or not,” concludes Ms. Bluin.
Vehicle owners are not being spared in the Lévis area as a wave of car thefts has raged since the beginning of the year.
The SPVL reports more than twenty stolen cars in less than three months.
