The President of the United States, Joe Biden, passed legislation this Monday (20th) mandating it information release confidential with reference to Origin of Covid19informed the White House.
The bill, introduced in January and now signed by Biden, calls on the director of the US National Intelligence Agency (DNI) to withdraw the bill confidentiality rating of documents that provide information about the origin of the disease.
“My administration will release and share as much information as possible about the origin of Covid19, consistent with safeguards against disclosure of information that would harm national security,” Biden said.
Information released includes:
- data about the Origin of the SarsCov2 virus
- Possible relationship between the Wuhan Institute of Virologyin China, and the origin of the disease
- Studies with any kind of Coronavirus in Wuhan before the outbreak of Covid19
- Details about the researcher who fell ill in 2019
This data comes from American intelligence and is not definitive, that is, it does not really explain the origin of the virus. They bring only what the US has collected or discovered on the subject.
The US government has engaged in a highly politicized debate over the origins of the pandemic since the first cases were reported in the Chinese city of Wuhan in late 2019.
The debate was reignited last month when the Wall Street Journal reported that the US Department of Energy concluded that the pandemic was likely caused by a leak at a Chinese laboratory.
China denies the virus originated in a lab.
The White House has not announced when these documents will be released to the public.
