SEGA announced today that the first additional content for Sonic Frontiers, Landscapes, Sound and Speed, will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam on Thursday 23rd March. “Scenics, Sound and Speed” is the first in a series of three content updates planned for this year. It adds new features including a jukebox, photo mode and new challenge modes.
To learn more, here is more information about these new features:
- New Challenge Modes: After completing the main story, you can access the new Cyberspace Challenge and Turbo Battle challenge modes from the title screen. Cyberspace Challenge is a time trial mode in which players must complete a series of cyberspace levels as quickly as possible. In addition, Sonic Frontiers will also feature Turbo Battle mode, a timed mode in which players fight numerous enemies in sequence, such as Guardians and Titans.
- Photo Mode: To capture memories of your best moments on the Starfall Islands, you can access Photo Mode from the pause menu, which brings up a camera.
- Jukebox: Listen to your favorite Sonic music anywhere on Starfall Islands with the new Jukebox. 53 music titles are available. You have instant access to 13 of these, and you can unlock the remaining 40 by collecting Musical Memories on each island.
Stay tuned for two more content updates to Sonic’s adventures coming later this year, including new features, challenges, playable characters and more.
