Ukrainian forces have used drones to attack an oil pumping station in Russia’s Bryansk region near the border with Ukraine. The governor of the region announced this on his Telegram channel, adding that no casualties were reported.
“Ukrainian armed forces used drones to attack the area of Transneft JSC’s Novozybkov pumping station,” said Governor Alexander Bogomaz.
The governor did not say there was any damage to the facility, but added that power to some nearby villages has been temporarily cut off pending the investigation, which is expected to be completed within hours.
New tension in the sky
Moscow’s Defense Ministry announced that yesterday one of its fighter jets intercepted two US B-52H strategic bombers flying towards the Russian border over the Baltic Sea: the jet returned after the bombers left. Interfax reports it. The episode follows the downing of a US drone over the Black Sea on March 14 after being intercepted by Russian warplanes.

Claim to the Rostov fire
A Russian anti-Kremlin group called Chyorny Most (Black Bridge) has claimed responsibility for the fire at the headquarters of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in the city of Rostov near the Ukrainian border last week, which killed at least four people and five were injured. Radio Free Europe reports about it.
The group said on Telegram that they “co-wrote” it and helped prepare and implement it, but did not name others involved. Chyorny Most positions itself as a guerrilla movement fighting against President Putin and the invasion of Ukraine.
The visit of the Japanese Prime Minister
