11:48 p.m.: New hands stretched out to Kiev. The day was marked by the visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to Kiev. But also through the $15.6 billion aid plan that the country has signed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This plan should make it possible “to support the gradual economic recovery while creating the conditions for long-term growth in the context of post-conflict reconstruction and on the way to accession to the European Union”, specified the IMF in a press release. 8:53 p.m.: “China cannot reasonably be considered impartial” in relation to Ukraine, a White House spokesman said. It is the most direct American criticism to date of the Chinese mediation proposal in the conflict. John Kirby also accused Beijing of “passing on Russian propaganda” that the war in Ukraine was the result of Western aggression.
6:42 p.m.: “The parties reiterate that there can be no winners in a nuclear war and that it must never be started,” Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping said in a joint statement signed after talks at the Kremlin.

5:46 p.m.: Xi Jinping also claims to have signed an agreement with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that aims to take relations between their two countries “into a new era” of cooperation. “We signed a declaration to deepen strategic partnership and bilateral ties,” said the Chinese president.
5:42 p.m.: China supports a “peaceful settlement” of the conflict in Ukraine, Chinese leader Xi Jinping told Russian President Vladimir Putin. Beijing is increasingly trying to establish itself as a mediator between Moscow and Kiev and presented a peace plan for the Ukraine conflict last month.

5:35 p.m .: Vladimir Putin threatens “retaliation” if London supplies Ukraine with ammunition contain depleted uranium, in response to comments made by a UK official. “Today we learned that the United Kingdom (…) has announced not only the delivery of tanks to Ukraine, but also shells with depleted uranium,” said the Russian president.
3:36 p.m .: The Russian authorities have opened criminal proceedings against Oleg Orlov, one of the figures of the NGO Memorial. The latter is accused of “discrediting” the Russian army fighting in Ukraine, the NGO, co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, assures on Telegram. The Russian judiciary invokes an article in the criminal code that is used against critics of the conflict in Ukraine.
2:11 p.m .: Ukraine welcomes the “historic visit” of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to Kiev. This is a “sign of solidarity” from Tokyo, which the first deputy of the Ukrainian foreign minister welcomed after more than a year of Russian invasion of the country. “We are grateful to Japan for their strong support and contribution to our future victory.”

1:08 p.m .: Ukraine carried out a drone attack on Tuesday an oil pump station in a Russian border region, the regional governor announces. “There are no casualties,” said Alexandre Bogomaz, head of Russia’s Briansk region, on Telegram.
