Mexican actress Rebecca Jones dies at 65

(CNN Spanish) — Mexican actress Rebecca Jones died this Wednesday at the age of 65, the agency that represented her confirmed in a statement shared on Twitter.

The actress was “accompanied by her loved ones at all times, she left in peace and with deep gratitude from her audience, for whom she had worked all her life,” it said.

Jones was born in Mexico on May 21, 1957 and during her 40-year career as an actress and producer, her credits include Cuna de Lobos, Días de combate and Amorosos fantasmas. Other productions include Derfallen Engel, Crystal Empire, Life in the Mirror, To love again, Forbidden passion and La doña, according to Prensa Danna, the agency she represents.

Her career began around 1982 and lasted until 2023. That year her last production as a leading actress was Nothing to See, a film directed by Kenya Marquez and in which Jones played Carolina, according to IMDB.
