Santo Domingo, March 22 (Prensa Latina) The work leading up to the XXVIII. Ibero-American Summits of Heads of State and Government advanced today to agree on the documents that will be submitted to the countries present for approval.
The national coordinators and those responsible for cooperation met this Wednesday and will conclude tomorrow to work on the above documents, namely: the Santo Domingo Declaration, the Summit Action Program and the Special Communiqués of the countries of the region Adopting and Constituting the specific agreements.
According to the Ibero-American General Secretariat (Segib), the foreign ministers will agree on the main agreements and commitments reached during the sectoral meetings, forums, sessions and preparatory seminars over the past two years.
This Thursday, in addition to the meeting of the coordinators, a meeting with observers and advisory staff of the Iberoamerican Conference is scheduled and it is the first day of the XVI. Iberoamerican Business Meeting Presenting Latin American Economic Outlook 2022 Report will be presented at Sansouci Convention Center.
The summit will open on Friday night at the colonial fortress of Ozama, and on Saturday at 09:30 local time the plenary session will take place with a lunch that President Luis Abinader will offer his guests privately and without an agenda at the National Palace.
The presence of 14 presidents, two vice-presidents, two prime ministers and 22 foreign ministers is expected, who will adopt important instruments to ensure the development of the region.
The Ibero-American Conference represents a consolidated space for collaboration, with an experience based on more than 30 years of uninterrupted work.
