This Saturday, March 25th, FBC Melgar celebrates 108 years of institutional life. The red and black team will celebrate away from their stronghold in Arequipa as they face ADT in Tarma the next day. The ‘Domino’ will try to add more points in League 1 as they only have one at the moment.
Despite the seclusion, some commemorative events are planned. The club organized a domino festival for its fans, in the Magnopata Complex of Yanahuara. The event will take place on Saturday, March 25th.
Externally, the documentary “Melgar is Arequipa” is due to be released in cinemas in honor of the 1981 national champion, Melgar’s first title in the top division of Peruvian football. The features will be available March 23-30 at the Cinemark in Lambramani Park.

Adaptation to style
On the third day of work under Mariano Soso, the team is practicing to adapt to the Argentinian coach’s style of play. Fitness coach Juan Manuel López pointed out that there will be no sudden changes. The Arequipa team is approaching a series of games where he has to play the local tournament and the group stage of the Copa Libertadores.
