Ibero American Summit begins work in Dominican Republic

14 Presidents, two Vice-Presidents, two Prime Ministers and 22 Foreign Ministers are expected to attend the Ibero-American Summit.

The meetings before the XXVIII. The Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will take place next Friday and Saturday in the Dominican Republic, began this Wednesday in the capital, Santo Domingo.

“We have a very intense agenda, we have a large participation of the 22 countries and we are sure that it will be a very successful summit,” said the Secretary General of the event, Andrés Allamand.

During the day meetings of the national coordinators and cooperation managers took place, the aim of which is cooperation and exchange within the region.

In the afternoon, the report of the Iberoamerican Observatory on Climate Change and Sustainable Development of La Rábida, Food Systems and Climate Change in Iberoamerica, will be presented.

While scheduled for this Thursday is the meeting with Observers and Advisory Partners of the Ibero-American Conference, where the presentation of the South-South Report and the Triangula in Ibero-America 2022 will continue.

In addition, it takes place on the first day of the XVI. Ibero-American Business Meeting held at the Sansoucí Convention Center, where the Latin American Economic Outlook 2022 report will be presented.

According to the organizers of the summit, the presence of 14 presidents, two vice-presidents, two prime ministers and 22 foreign ministers is expected, who will adopt important instruments to ensure the development of the region. This forms a space of cooperation, strengthened by the experience of more than three decades of uninterrupted work.
