The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) was legislation passed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to this legislation and the opportunities for economic aid it offers, a local guaranteed basic income program has been created.
As a result, Sacramento families can currently apply to be one of the 80 households selected for the second edition of this local program.
Eligible participants will be eligible to receive $500.00 monthly payments for 12 months starting in July this year with no strings attached.
What requirements must applicants meet?
To be one of the applicants, you must first live in the city of Sacramento. However, it is important to know that you must meet family income requirements.
You can apply online this way until April 14 at 11:59 p.m. Regarding the selection of households, the authorities report that this is a process that is carried out entirely at random.
Confirmed budgets will be announced at the end of May and payments could start in July.
The most important thing is that you live within the Sacramento city limits and earn less than a certain amount per year.

For an adult with three children the amount would be $79,500.00 and for just two adults $43,201.00. For two adults with one, two and three children it would be $64273.00; $79,500.00; or $93120.00.
For a six member household, the amount would be $106,740.00; one of seven, $120,360.00; and one of eight $133,980.00. If the household is more than eight members, add $14160.00 for each additional person.
