The National Police have arrested 15 people for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of four men in Marbella, Malaga, who they allegedly allegedly stole 1,500 kilos of hashish, according to a National Police statement. The victims of this kidnapping were tortured and one of them was dying of a diabetic coma, according to the same sources. Handcuffed, subjected to beatings and threats, and also deprived of basic necessities such as food and medicine, the abductees lived in an extreme situation with the sole purpose of making them confess where the drugs were.

The kidnapping took place on December 2nd at the home of one of them in the city of Marbella, but only now is the operation complete with the latest arrests. A total of 13 people have been arrested in the province of Málaga and two others in Granada, who are being investigated for kidnapping, belonging to a criminal organization, illegal possession of weapons, violent robbery, theft of a vehicle, forgery of documents and assault. . . The victims were approached by a group of six to eight armed people. They were bound hand and foot and then taken in a van to another house in a residential area of ​​Marbella.

Five million euros for the ransom

The kidnappers took their victims’ cell phones and threatened to get the keys. They later contacted their relatives and demanded a ransom of five million euros with the threat of never seeing their loved ones alive again. Between December 4 and 5, officers at the police station received four disappearance reports. The connection between the cases was quickly recognized as they showed many similarities.

In the course of the investigation, the kidnappers released one of the victims. Agents began a search over time to find the other three victims, one of whom had severe diabetes. After almost a week of kidnapping, agents reached the home of one of the kidnappers — the place where the unlawful detention began — and found four hash pills, each weighing 100 grams, as well as remnants of burlap normally used to wrap the bales.

The investigation allowed us to track down a stolen van. Eventually, investigations led to a villa in Marbella where the victims were being held. There, one of the hostages was released in critical condition.

A stolen van and another car used in the kidnapping were also recovered.
