A Ukrainian actor and local mayor have died fighting for their country as brutal attacks by Russian troops continue into the twelfth day of the invasion.
Pasha Li, 33, known for his acting, presentations and voice acting, was killed in Irpin, Ukraine when the city was occupied.
Yuriy Prilipko, 61, “hero”, mayor of the village of Gostomel, northwest of the capital Kyivsupported his community by distributing bread and medicine to vulnerable civilians and was shot dead.

Lee (pictured) was born in Crimea and, in addition to being a local presenter and actor, was known for his voice work in The Lion King and The Hobbit.
Both men were praised for their work in supporting the Ukrainians in their fight against the invasion.
Five days ago, Lee posted a photo of himself in his military uniform with the caption “LET’S UNITE”.
He also took to Instagram to share resources to help Ukrainian refugees around the world.
His last photo, taken two days ago in Irpen, was captioned: “For the last 48 hours, there is an opportunity to sit down and photograph how we are being bombed, and we are smiling because we can handle it.”
Sergiy Tomilenko, chairman of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, shared a tribute to the deceased actor on his Facebook page.
It said: “(Pasha Li) went to fight for Ukraine from the first days of the war and died in Irpen, where fierce battles with the Russian invaders are still going on.
“The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine expresses sincere condolences to (Pasha’s) family and friends.
“Our words of support to the entire staff of the DOM TV channel, which embodies the noble mission of broadcasting for the de-occupation of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Crimea.”

The death of the actor was confirmed by the head of the UATV/DOM platform, Yulia Ostrovskaya, who, with tears in her eyes, told the trade union: “On January 31, a new season started – a new entertainment TV program called Day at Home started.
“Among the six TV presenters, Pasha was the happiest and sunniest.”

It said: “He never refused to help anyone. No one forced him to go under the bullets of the invaders.

“He could, like hundreds of others, sit in the basement.
And he made his choice. He died for the community, he died for Gostomel, he died as a hero.”
It comes on the twelfth day of the invasion of Ukraine, when cities have been bombed again and the war-torn country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has vowed that “God will not forgive” and Ukraine “will not forget” the killing of civilians by the Russians. saying that judgment day is coming for them.
Zelensky, in a nightly address to his compatriots on the Orthodox holiday of Forgiveness Sunday, recalled how a family of four was among eight civilians killed by Russian mortars while trying to escape from the city of Irpen — near Kiev — earlier in the day. “We will not forgive. We won’t forget,” he told listeners.
“We cannot forgive hundreds and hundreds of victims. Not thousands and thousands of victims,” he added. “God will not forgive. Not today. Not tomorrow. Never.’
