The CH power forward suffered a sprained ankle and will be unable to help his teammates in the last 10 games of the regular schedule.
Anderson injured himself late Tuesday in the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Defender Mikhail Sergachev brought him down hard trying to hit an empty net.
The 28-year-old had his debut 20-goal season with the Habs in 2022/23. In 69 games he scored 21 goals and 32 points.
He joins an endless list of the Canadian’s long-term injuries. Young defender Kaiden Guhle was also recently added to the group.
